Purpose of the position

The Research Associate will be part of a team and will work closely with his/her line manager. S/he will be expected to work according to the instruction of the research team leader. Acting as a team player to prepare analytical papers on national policy issues and provide intellectual input to strengthen the policy research.

Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Contributing to the preparation of different sector analytical reports, policy briefs on issues of national relevance as well as other dissemination materials that the organization is tasked to undertake;
2. When required conduct research work on various national issues for policy formulation;
3. Keeping track of important global, economic, social and business indicators;
4. When required, participate in workshops and seminars on behalf of the organization;
5. When required, providing support to the editorial team of the organization’s flagship quarterly, Policy Insights
6. Other duties may occur from time to time and will be assigned accordingly

Qualification

1. Master’s degree in Development Studies,Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, or other relevant Social Sciences discipline.
2. At least Two years of relevant research work,
3. Excellent writing and communication skill in English
4. Presentation skill in public event is desirable
